The Regent Theatre in Geelong opened in 1928 during the golden age of cinema and quickly became one of the city’s most prestigious entertainment venues. Designed by renowned cinema architects Ballantyne & Wilson, the building showcased a striking blend of Art Deco and Classical Revival styles, with an ornate facade featuring a grand arched window, decorative plasterwork, and a once-lavish interior that included chandeliers, velvet curtains, and balcony seating.
Since then it has become a lost gem of Central Geelong. Work is currently underway to revitalise the site into an inspiring commercial building offering an amazing opportunity for a flagship retail, office or hospitality lease in Geelong CBD in the latter part of 2025. Along with our other project Brights and Hitchcocks, the building will help inner city Geelong restore lost pride and fuse a unique history with a new modern facility for your business or organisation.
A fully refurbished, high-quality building spanning three levels plus a mezzanine. The works include structural rectification of the existing building, along with extensive renovations and refurbishment throughout—featuring the exposure and restoration of the original facade and the installation of feature windows on both street frontages.
